Ray Black's Type 82e Replica

[Type 82e Replica] Replica of a Type 82e "Komanderwagen" (Kubelwagen chassis, Beetle body). This replica uses a 1954 body, with split window substituted for the oval, and a chassis from an Australian Country Buggy.

The running gear is similar to an early Kombi, giving the correct "lift" to match the kubel ground clearance.

The view from the driver's seat is excellent, and the car handles surprisingly well on high profile Wehrmacht "M" tread tyres.

The satin finish field grey paint was specially mixed by Dulux in Melbourne.
