Paul McKinley's 1954 Pickup

Returning from a skiing trip, club member Steve Müller sighted this car whilst on the way to the airport in Christchurch, New Zealand. He followed the car to the home of its owner, and made the driver, a retired farmer, an offer to buy the car. It was, however, not for sale. Steve left his phone number with the owner in the event that he changed his mind.

3 years later, Steve received a call from the owner; he was now too old to hold a driver's license and wished to sell the car. Steve was not in a position to purchase the car at the time, but Paul McKinley was in the market for a Vintage pickup, and he purchased the car for $5000. Freight from NZ cost a further $3000.

The car still has its original engine, gearbox and canvas top!
