Ray Black's 1954 Cabriolet
It was found about 1982 in the outback (far-west) of New South Wales where it had been used as a vehicle for wild pig and kangaroo shooters. Can you imagine this Cabrio hurling across the dusty plains blasting away at a wild pig! Eventually it was abandoned, in sad shape, behind a shed. Fortunately, a VW enthusiast spotted the car, and returned it to Sydney. Restoration commenced, and was eventually abandoned in favour of its use as a drag racer! Ray purchased the car at that stage, and began the long task of transforming the car back to its original 1954 presentation.
